Comments and questions!

Thanks for the comments and questions. If everything goes well tonight I will see if I can answer some of your great questions over the past few days. Okay, I have to go so I make it to our next destination. I hope all of you are considering traveling as you grow into adulthood because it is an adventure and there is no better way of learning about the world and yourself.

Later.

Does the coca cola in Saudi Arabia taste the same as the coca cola in MN?

You last blog seems like you have been bombarded with comments and questions-- hooray! We have been following your trip diligently in class, and there are always many, many questions that we want to be able to ask you!

It sounds like your days are jam-packed with activities... we can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! It will be great to look at similarities and differences between our two countries.

Happy travels!

I had fun talking to you this morning in KROC. The long dinner sounded fun... but it would be to long for me.

Maybe students in MS choir this spring could sing a song or two in Arabic. We are certainly learning a lot through the blogs! Thanks Aaron!

What was the drumming like at the entertainment of evening 4? What instruments have you seen? Do they have music in schools? What age of people have been playing instruments or singing?

Hi Mr. Andres!

I noticed in your pictures that they even have a McDonalds in Saudi Arabia, and others like Subway and KFC. That was interesting to see!!!

Are you enjoying your stay?
We miss you in class.

What the most different (from the U.S. or your previous experiences)
food/animal you've eaten/seen??

Keep posting and have a good time!!

Hannah,
The Coca Cola tastes exactly the same, but it is really good when it is in the old fashioned bottles. The cans are also the old fashioned type that you pull the tab off and it sounds like an air gun was shot.

Sierrac1,
The food is wonderful. Usually there is an adjustment period where the food can be somewhat upsetting. In this case everything has been wonderful. I enjoy their Kabobs the most because the meet if tender and flavorful. Every once in a while I will bite into something very spicy and need to drink five or six glasses of water. We did have goat, camel, and chicken. The camel tasted like dry hamburger.

Shannon,
I knew women wore veils, but it is still shocking at times. I did not expect to see everyone out so late at night. Shopping at the Souks at 11:00 p.m. is really fun. The interactions with the people has been very positive. The water is extremely clear! It is beautiful!
